Towards the end of 2013 after weighing in at 143kgs (over 315lbs) I made the decision to do something about it once and for all. Not because I was unhappy with my size. As a father of two boys I needed to be healthy for them And my family!

So on Dec 30th, 2013 I weighed in, took my measurements and began my LCHF (Low Carb High Fat) Journey.

Just days later on Jan 5th, 2014 my big brother passed away at only 44 years of age. This really hit home to me the importance of looking after myself to be the best I can for my family.

This blog will be a journal of my journey, the ups and downs and successes as I move towards a healthier me… You’re welcome to join me on the adventure.

  1. You are doing amazing! I just found your blog and I’m amazed with your resolve to get healthy for your sons and yourself. As a single mother of boy I have been trying lchf but I’m not good at being consistent. You have given me motivation to try yet again. I’m restarting today and am shooting for a 10day no cheating streak then eventually 100 days. I’ve got about 130 lbs I must lose. Keep up your good job and awesome recipes!! Thanks for being inspiring!

  2. so happy I stumbled upon this blog. yr recipes are fantastic. I have been eating healthier for the last 3wks and am about 2kgs lighter but I tend to get “lost” on what to eat. Your amazing journey has renewed my desire to keep going and get serious about it. Love the berocca & light sparkling idea!

  3. I have been sharing this site over and over with my fellow wheat belliers on the Wheat Belly Group. This is a great site the way you have it set up is fantastic for those especially who can.t figure out what to eat. I tell them, Grab a fat bomb coffee, kick back and just enjoy scrolling thru this feast for the eyes. THANKS
